Originally opened in 1983, the Thomas & Mack Center was in need of facility improvements and modernization. The South Entrance concourse was static with little or no discernible branding strategy, as well as much of the concourse in general.
The main entrance, and most recognizable feature of the venue, was dealing with significant disadvantages impacting the fan experience and operational revenue. The limited space available for premium functions on ground level was outdated and insufficient, while key areas of the main concourse went largely unused.
Recognizing the desire to maintain the iconic features of Thomas and Mack Arena’s Main Entry Plaza, several measures were taken to significantly enhance sponsorship and fan experience opportunities for both the main and west entry. These include new LED screen activation, lighting features, plaza interventions, new signage and display technology, stair replacement and concourse expansion.
Improvements to main concourse included overall modernization, greater technology implementation, and a full overhaul of the branding strategy and sponsorship activation.
The West Club Lounge addition transforms an underused entrance into a premium club lounge with a view of the strip.
