In seeking a new home for a future MLS expansion franchise in Miami owned by David Beckham, Dan Meis was approached by local design firms to assist in studying a unique waterfront site near the existing arena. The site was adjacent to a newly designed park and there was a question as to whether or not the boat-slip area needed to be filled to fit a professional soccer stadium.
The study was not focused on conceptual design but rather the confirmation of the site’s ability to host a venue of this kind.
