New team ownership needed a unique experience to offer premium ticket holders. Because the Staples Center is a shared venue, all interventions must be temporary, implemented only during Clippers games and functions.
Designed to serve as an amenity to the courtside seat ticket holders, the Event Level “Pop-Up” Club repurposed a storage space into a sponsored lounge that provides and intimate setting to eat and drink before games and during halftime.
The project was designed and constructed in the offseason while the building remained fully operational.
The visibility and exposure gained by engaging in these enhancements assisted in attracting new long-term fans and sponsors, while identifying Los Angeles Clippers events as a unique destination attraction that stands out from other Los Angeles and NBA entertainment offerings.
When not in use, the metal curtain slides aside and the furniture modules roll away. Temporary solutions also include a private VIP entry to the building, “Fantasy Suites,” and a number of other proposed upgrades.
